Styling text objects

Beyond text formatting, text objects support:

  • Background color: Add a background behind text
  • Border: Add a border around the text box
  • Shadow: Apply drop shadow effects
  • Opacity: Control transparency
  • Rotation: Rotate the text object

These properties are set on the object level, not the text level.

Multi-line text

Press Enter to create line breaks within a text object. Each text object can contain multiple lines of text.

Text in animations

Text objects animate like any other object when using Magic Match transitions:

  • Position changes create movement
  • Size changes create scaling effects
  • Opacity changes create fade effects

The text content itself doesn't animate—only the object properties do.

Tips

  • Contrast: Ensure text is readable against your background
  • Size: Use larger text for titles, smaller for details
  • Consistency: Use the same fonts and sizes throughout your project
  • Spacing: Leave breathing room around text objects
